Developer of Adblock Plus blocks ads Web-based applications, has now released a mobile browser for iPhone and iPad, which can block the ads that appear on the second screen of the device.
According to The Verge quoted on Thursday (09/10/2015), the browser not only serves to block ads, but also protect users from malware threats. Not only that, the browser is also able to preserve battery life and usage of user data.
The mobile browser works similar to Adblock Plus’ plugin web, where users can block all ads or create a list of sites that allow ads that can be entered.
The beta version of ‘Adblock Browser’ for Android platform has been available since May. But Adblock Browser for iOS version has not even officially launched until now. Apparently, the official launch of Adblock Browser for iPhone will coincide with the release date of iOS 9, right today.
Since last year Adblock users has increased considerably by 41 percent to 198 million monthly active users in the world. This represents 6 percent of total global web users.
Unfortunately, the presence of Adblock services potentially create global advertising industry revenue loss of US $ 21.8 billion in 2015. The amount it contributes 14 percent of total advertising spending in the world.
