  • THE CENTER FOR RESPONSIVE POLITICS is a non-profit, non-partisan research organization based in Washington, D.C. The Center specializes in the study of Congress and particularly the role that money plays in its elections and actions. The Center provides custom research for news organizations and others, using a computerized database that combines contributor classifications with current and historical federal campaign records. Major funders of the Center include the Carnegie Corporation, the Ford Foundation, the Joyce Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and the Florence and John Schumann Foundation. This project was funded by the Joyce Foundation.
