RE: SB 49/Karnette heads to the Senate FloorHi Folks:
Today, the Senate Appropriations Committee voted 12-0 to send SB 49/Karnette to the Senate Floor. Senator Karnette is planning to take her bill up for a vote on Wednesday, June 4th at around 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. I have already heard from several people - citizens and journalists alike - who are planning to come to the Capitol in Sacramento to watch the Senate Floor vote. I look forward to seeing a lot of you in the Senate Gallery that morning!
I'm told that AB 63 will be taken up by the Assembly Appropriations Committee tomorrow, so we should know very soon whether there will also be an Assembly floor vote on electronic filing/online disclosure too -- as always, I will be sure to keep everyone posted.
