Daryl Said:
What is the proper Republican way to vote on the California ballot measures? We Answered:
Vote no on all of them. Then drop your ballot in a nearby shredding machine. You shouldn't vote for 2 reasons:
!. You want to vote like your dad votes, which is "Republican" without thinking for yourself and looking into any issues. You have no clue what "voting Republican" even means.
2. You're posting a question on the internet asking people to tell you how to vote.
Please do us all a favor and skip elections until you learn how to do a little research or at least stop being so lazy.
Lorraine Said:
California is so populated - should they allow for split electoral vote?We Answered:
OF COURSE! BTW, the only ones against it are the Democrats. But that's not the proposition. It's to allow for the other candidate to get electoral votes also. Currently it's a "winner takes all" situation so the Democrat candidate gets all the electoral votes. It isn't fair!
Douglas Said:
With all the anti-Gay ballot measures passing, how big of a backward step was this Election for Gay Rights? We Answered:
It was a huge step backwards but that was the correct direction to go, back to before the gays were allowed to be married.True we elected Obama and are now an Obamanation just as gay marriage is an Obamanation to the sanctity of marriage.
Proposition 8 (In California) is not about taking rights away from people it is about restoring the meaning of marriage, one man and one woman.
If you want to take away rights then you can say that a black man can not marry a white woman or vice versa.
Men marrying men or women marrying women is not natural in any sense of the word, to prescribe that we would have to accept this and our children be forced to accept this is unconscionable.
The purpose of marriage is to multiply (have children) is not meant to be a way of filing taxes so you get lower rates.
Prop 8 does not promote hate. In 1996 then President Bill Clinton signed into law the Defense of Marriage Act and is now Public Law 104-199.
Yes on 8, the way things were, the way things are and the way things should be.
Courtney Said:
Now that California's ballot measure has banned gay marriage, should we have one on de-segregation?We Answered:
Yes. Forced de-segregation breathed new life into racism for another 50 years. I believe we would have had an easier time of it if we had been allowed to do it at our own pace.Leonard Said:
Where can I get full results on ALL California Ballot measures? We Answered:
Go to the official website: http://vote.sos.ca.gov/If you just want to see the results of all the propositions: http://vote.sos.ca.gov/props/index.html
