Georgia Election Ballot

Neil Said:

How do you run for the Georgia House of Representative?

We Answered:

contact your registrar of voters and they will tell you how to proceed--and you can run as an independent, you do not necessarily need to be affiliated with a particular party, though it would help if you were....good luck.

The Blagojevich Case and the future of the Senate?

We Answered:

Well as nice as your fantasy may be . . remember that another US senator that was accused on 7 counts of fraud and convicted . . was still almost elected to the Alaskan US Senate ( Republican Sen Ted Stevens) . . had he been elected he gave every indication that he would not resign. That being said . . Blagojevich seems like a scum bag all around . . an equal opportunity scum bag that is beyond Democrat or Republican party . . I'm a Democrat and I think he's just a crook . . period. But remember . . he is still legally the Governor and there is no legal precedent to stop him from appointing someone to the US Senate . . the FBI outed him so that he would not 'taint' the position. Blagovecich can still appoint whoever he wants . . he has not been convicted only accused of wrong doing. Trials can be a lengthy process. Hopefully he will step down . . but don't count on it . . Republican ex-Sen Ted Stevens also stubbornly refused to step aside.

The US Senate seat will stay within the Democratic party no matter what happens to Blagojevich.
