Michigan Election Ballot

Darren Said:

Hillary has gotten 10 of her friends to donate Money for another Michigan election. All Names weren't on the

We Answered:

Has anyone investigated those 10 Friends?
From what I have heard Obama will win if they do a redo
Some voters are turned off by Clinton and her I powered
friends, that keep getting themselves deposed of.
Geraldine Ferraro said it all. and this woman didn't even
know that she was demeaning Obama.
She lost her race for Senator twice and other elections.

Christopher Said:

Should the democratic party redo the primary elections in Florida and Michigan?

We Answered:

I don't understand the disenfranchised argument. So your party officials know a rule, WILLFULLY break it, and you're disenfranchised by who? Why is that the DNC's fault? Sounds more like there was INTENT there by Florida and Michigan DEM reps to willfully reject (or maybe even denounce - wink) the rules at the national level. If it were my State, I'd suck it up and have a discussion with my local reps from the democratic party, asking "what were you thinking!"

Alicia Said:

Do you think Obama leaving name off Michigan Primary Ballot was a calculated move?

We Answered:

it was a legal move. its not illegal to do that. Its clever strategy and it works in Obama favor because MI delegates will now be thrown out of convention.

nothing wrong in that. Anything that benefits Obama is good. He is the best candidate!

James Said:

[MICHIGAN] Why did Hilary leave her name on ballot if no delegates were assigned?

We Answered:

It was bad of her to do that. Everyone else took their names off the ballot, but Hillary did not. They removed their names because the Democratic National Committee stripped Michigan (and Florida) of their delegates, because both of the states had violated DNC rules by moving their primaries to earlier in the month.
She kept her name there because even if you don't win delegates, it is still important to win a state. It keeps the ball rolling, keeps the momentum going, shows the country that she has support, etc. That's why Super Tuesday was actually not bad at all for Barack--he didn't win the 'big states' with lots of delegates like New York and California, but he won 13 states to Hillary's 7 (I might be off by 1.) His wins showed the world that he does have support, and that he does have a good chance of winning the nomination.
Delegates are important because if you get a certain amount (I believe it is 2,025 for the Democrats), you are automatically the candidate. However, if you don't, it goes to a National Convention, where the superdelegates are involved.

Christian Said:

How would it be fair to count Michigan votes if Obama was not on the ballot?

We Answered:

it wouldn't be fair.

this is not russia. we don't just put one person on the ballot and have an election.

and to count half of them is totally unfair as well.

and the democrat leadership is messed up.

that's why i defected and became an indy.

if howard dean would grow a backbone and a pair and uphold the rules he made, then MI and FL would be a moot point.

Stephen Said:

Why don't Florida and Michigan hold new elections?

We Answered:

Because they broke the rules, now they want to change them after the fact. Giving them a second chance is like losing a foot race because you rode a bike and then asking for do overs. I don't think so.
