Well being the incumbent President is a huge home field advantage and still being two years away a whole lot can happen. Good and Bad. As the economy gets stronger that is good news for the President, if the economy stays stagnant or goes south that is bad news for the President. Then too, he is not running against anyone in particular right now, and we don't know what his opponent's message will be until they have the nomination.
