On The Ballot

Melvin Said:

How is the ballot initiative you propose an example of direct democracy?

We Answered:

direct democracy, the people themselves vote on it instead of voting for a rep who votes for it.

Vincent Said:

What does a presidential election ballot looks like?

We Answered:

On a typical ballot, you could be voting for everything from president to local offices and even local issues (like taxes, new laws, etc). The ballot can be quite long.

The confusion is often with specific types of ballots. Some ballots just have you mark a particular place, some use machines, some you punch out a circle, and in some you even draw lines to match up your candidate! That's where the confusion is often found.

Annie Said:

Should I have received a ballot paper for the congestion charge?

We Answered:

The ballot papers are being sent out by the Electoral Reform Society, and will be addressed to you personally. The booklet from Greater Manchester Future Transport was sent out separately, one to every address in Greater Manchester and was addressed to 'The Occupier'.

Billie Said:
