Presidential Election Ballot
Allison Said:
Will Barack Obama's middle name be listed on the 2008 presidential election ballot? We Answered:
As far as I know, political candidates are allowed to choose how their names appear on the ballot. For example, I think Albert Gore appeared as Al Gore because that's how he's commonly known.I do believe that having "Hussein" on the ballot would negatively affect Obama. I think you'd be surprised how many people decide who to vote for at the last second. Think about all those signs and ads telling you to vote on election day. The people who go in to vote just because the signs and stickers tell them to probably don't have strong feelings one way or another, and something like a shallow Muslim connection could be the deciding factor.

If Steven Colbert was on the 08 Presidential Election Ballot against McCain and Obama, who would you vote for?We Answered:
Obama. Colbert is entertaining as hell, but he's an actor. I'm a Democrat. I don't elect actors to public office. That's GOP fodder.UPDATE:
Though thinking about it now, I might have to think about it if Bill Maher were to run.

Who's Name Are You Going To Write In On The Presidential Election Ballot? We Answered:

Has there ever been a common person that went onto a presidential election ballot? We Answered:
Many. Since America has no Aristocracy, they've all been "common" people. There's no required number of signatures, you simply have to file your intention with the election board. Most will start their own political party, simply as a practical matter, to organize and rally their supporters. People with wealth, or ties to wealth, tend to fare better- simply because it's expensive to campaign across the entire nation.Alma Said:
On the Presidential Election ballot, will there be more than just the vote for president ?We Answered:
Yes.. it depends on your district as to what all you will be voting for..I know on my ballot (I've already voted).. I voted on 2 or 3 state amendments.. some judges.. and a senate seat..
you can contact your local polling location to find out what all will be on your ballot, and possibly get a copy o a ballot.
Jessica Said:
Are there any people here who are going to write in a vote on their presidential election ballot? We Answered:
no, because I study each candidate closely on the isssues they debate. How will Obama help this country?
the first issue is the economy, the unemployment rate is now 5.5 percent. Price of gas and food had gone up and people who do not make a lot money are suffering.
* in one city alone there is more than 600 houses in foreclosure because the government doesn't support the people. Many lobbist in Washington are part of the problem. The lobbist in the the Republican party are in the interest of the elite, people who owns oil companies, pharmaceutical comp. The lobbist do not want to pay a lot tax, so the middle class is suffering because they have to pay more tax than the rich.
3, college is expensive and the loans companies are making money on the students.
4. Healthcare and insurance is a problem, many people can't afford insurance, especially low income familes.
5, the war, it takes 10 billion per month to stay in Iraq.
The politics in Washing ton needs to be fixed and the middle class families needs to get a break from paying Higher taxes than the rich. Senator Obama says that these are the problems that the county face. I believe that with the help of senator Clinton and other democrats, the problems such foreclosure, health insurcance, saftety and the costly war will be resolve. but they have to clean up the mess first. I believe the democrats will bring changes because they are in the interest of the people, not in the insterest of the lobbist or the elite or the oil industries. They can bring changes in many people's life who are now suffering.
Today, the republicans vote against a bill that will help lower the cost of gas for the Americans consumer because they make a lot profits. Also, they have business with lobbyist, According to yahoo, 93% of Mc Cain funds come from lobbyist. Lobbyist are not in the interest of common people, except the rich.
