Tea Party Candidates
Julian Said:
If elected, how many Tea Party candidates will get a leadership position by the GOP senior members? We Answered:
It really doesn't matter because we will replace the leadership. If they prove not to support the Constitution and the Founders' ideal of limited government they will be replaced. It may take time, we didn't get into this mess over night, but we sure as heck have to get ourselves out.The American people have always been willing to make the necessary sacrifices to ensure this nation's survival and I am confident they will now.
Rosa Said:
Percentage-wise, how many Tea Party candidates were successful in winning seats? We Answered:
It depends on how you define a Tea Party candidate. I am attaching an article by NBC's Andrea Moe. She claims Tea Party candidates won 32 percent of House and Senate races last night. She identifies 140 candidates as Tea Party candidates, but I don't understand what her criteria is. Nor do I know what the percentage of non-Tea Party candidates challenging incumbents was. Take her report at face value, or take it with a grain of salt, but it should at least give you some kind of insight.http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/201…
Todd Said:
Is the Tea Party a party or a movement? If they are a party, will they run their own candidates as a?We Answered:
The future of the tea party isn't clear. It will be interesting how they deal with the fact that they can't become anything more than a spoiler party. They could try to become a pressure group, like the DSA is within the democratic party. But considering how ignored the progressives in the Democratic party have been ,that may also be a useless route to go down.
Sean Said:
Is this the 2nd Amendment Remedy talked about by the Tea Party Candidates like Sharon Angle? We Answered:
Cons claim her constantly that the 2nd Amendment is for "protecting ourselves from a tyrannical govt" which is of course blatant bull****.The 2nd never mentions one thing about the government, other than that the purpose of the guns are so the public can protect the government from foreign powers.
Sharon Said:
How do you think the Tea Party candidates will do in general elections? We Answered:
That I think depends entirely on Rupert Murdock and how he wants them to do. He is funding them and providing the free media attention as well as now controlling the message on the other networks through their partnerships with the Wall Street Journal (polling and trading speakers).Fernando Said:
Will the tea party candidates reform immigration and welfare? We Answered:
In all honesty, the TP does not even have major support within the GOP. Who are they going to caucus with to get things done?People on the far right or far left are rarely able to get any agenda through the quagmire that is congress.
