Voting Ballot Examples

Esther Said:

Who has an idea to get a third party on the ballot that actually has a legitimate shot at contending?

We Answered:

We must build our party from the bottom up, not top down as in the past.
Dogcatcher to school board to city council to county to state to federal.

This is the only way. There are no shortcuts in life.
This is why I run for non-partisan public office and guess what.
It works. I got elected. And now re-elected.
If we all ran for non-partisan office, in less than 10 years, Libertarians would be in control of our government.

The plan to move a bunch of libertarians to New Hampshire is called the Free State Project:

Ross Said:

Which is better - write-in or voting 3rd party?

We Answered:

One is not better than the other; your vote is your choice and you should do what makes you happiest. A write-in vote or a 3rd party vote will not be the winning vote, for sure but, you are using your privilege and doing what is your right to do. All votes are counted and recorded; every single one. I work at the polls and every vote must legally be recorded; all write-in's, 3rd party, absentee ballots and provisional ballots.

Penny Said:

Question about election ballot?

We Answered:

Their name is on the ballot. There is usually a note pointing out that by so voting, you are actually casting a vote for that person's slate of electors.

Melinda Said:

What Happens when you leave something blank on a voting ballot?

We Answered:

It does not get counted.

Maureen Said:

Should writers be banned from HOF voting if they put in an empty ballot to prevent a unanimous selection?

We Answered:

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES.

I want to know who the six IDIOTS are who did not vote for Nolan Ryan. They'll never get the chance to say, "I helped elect one of the greatest players in the history of the game," but they DO have to live with the shame that they helped keep his induction from being unanimous.

That does nothing but make a mockery of the sacred trust with which they are obligated. Such reckless disregard for the seriousness of the vote proves that they have no right to have the trust of the Hall of Fame, Major League Baseball, or the fans to make that important and permanent vote.

Martin Said:

Instead of the impossibility of a 3rd party candidate, would this approach be better?

We Answered:

That doesn't solve anything, because we'd still be voting for the same candidates from the same 2 parties.
