What Is An Absentee Ballot
Karl Said:
If you have voted with an absentee ballot for US President, what was the party of the candidate you voted for?We Answered:
I've been voting absentee for 6 years and I vote Democrat. In our county, which is mostly Democrat, we are going to all absentee ballots next year I believe. The county just north of us went to a 100% absentee ballot last year.Jorge Said:
Help! There was an ink smudge on my absentee ballot, what will happen to my vote?We Answered:
You'll probably be fine. In most states, if something nullify your ballot, they'll send you letter letting you know.Joyce Said:
If someone submits an absentee ballot but becomes deceased before election day, does their vote still count? We Answered:
It won't count if the state knows they're dead. Some states have laws that require checking whether voters are dead or alive on Election Day.I'm sure Republicans will use this as an excuse to drop any votes by people whose last names start with the same letter as a dead voter's last name.
Andrea Said:
I need help filling out an absentee ballot? We Answered:
If you obtained the ballot in the mail, your registration address is probably on the part that you send back. If you don't know your municipality, ward and district, try looking on your voter's registration card. That information could be on it. If not, call the place where you got your ballot from---city office or where ever. It was already stamped on mine but then I'm on the permanent list to get ballots in the mail.Roland Said:
Is it to late for an absentee ballot? We Answered:
you waited too long, but you still have a chance to drive home to vote. Better luck next time
