You are correct - of course they would never admit that and I am sure you will get some sarcastic answers here from Cons who would rather not answer your question directly.

I am almost 60 and I am used to the Democrats being split by independents who are on the left and running like Raph Nadar, etc.

There always seems to be one out there to screw the Democrats over.

A split by a person who has essentially the same views which causes the opponent to win is a terrible thing.

But I have only seen that hurting us. For once Sarah Palin and the Tea Party is going to split them.

I will enjoy that in addition to the comic relief...
