California June primary?

We Answered:

Yes, that;s right.

Tanya Said:

How do registered independents vote in the California Democratic Primary?

We Answered:

Are you a registered member of the American Independent Party? If so, you probably have the right ballot. If by "independent" you mean that you declined to state then you are allowed to vote in the Democratic party primary, but not the Republican party primary. In California the state parties make this decision. Call your Registrar of Voters in your county and let them know you need another ballot if applicable. You may also go into any precinct on election day and vote on a provisional ballot instead of your absentee ballot. The poll workers will tell you all about it. Just be sure you do not vote twice!

EDIT: FRAGINAL is wrong. In California Democrats will allow you to vote in their primary, Republicans will not.
