You have to understand that there is just no unbiased sources. The sources you are most likely to see (TV ads, TV news, newspapers, etc.) are probably the -most- biased, because they're all about money.

The only thing you can do is to Google both of their names and read a wide variety of sources, and try to synthesize a picture of the candidates in your mind. Neither one looks great to me, but whether or not Whitman cooperated with Barbara Boxer once up on a time, and whether Poizner might have increased his dept's budget, those aren't the important things.

As for immigration and amnesty and all that, you shouldn't listen to either one of them. They are running for a STATE office and immigration is a FEDERAL matter. If either one of them really wanted to be in office to do something about immigration, they would have run for senator, not governor. When candidates for governor talk about immigration they're talking through their teeth, because they aren't going to be able to do anything about that issue.
