Florida Elections Candidates

Miriam Said:

Why would Florida and Michigan hold their elections early if they knew they were breaking the rules?

We Answered:

because of the elected officials' arrogance.

they called the DNC's bluff and got severely penalized for it.

and that's why it's ridiculous for them to be talking about a do-over.

if hillary weren't losing so badly, FL and MI would be a non-issue. it is she and her camp who are fanning the flames of a do-over.

but should that happen, when the next presidential election occurs, every state in the country should move up their primaries/caucuses to whatever dates they want.

then all they'll have to do is go into court and demand that their delegates be seated just like the michigan and florida ones were.

rules are made to be followed. otherwise, you have total chaos.

and rule-breakers should not be rewarded.

James Said:

Who are all the 2008 candidates entered in the florida primary elections?

We Answered:

If you visit the Florida Elections Department, they should have a list of all the candidates (please be aware though that candidates may drop out of a race without any prior notice)

Jerry Said:

T or F: Do Florida elections have a majority every time?

We Answered:

False... hmmm I dont like being the 2nd person

Courtney Said:

How many political parties have candidates on your ballot for the upcoming elections?

We Answered:

I'm trying to remember, I think at least five here. Dems, Repubs, Green, Libertarians, and Socialist Workers. The Dems tried awfully hard to get the Tea Party on the ballot to offset the Repubs voters, but failed. Of course, if there were a Dem offshoot similar to the Tea Party, the Repubs would have tried to get THEM on the ballot, too. Such is politics. What a dirty business.

Jimmie Said:

If all the candidates agreed not to participate in the Mich and Florida elections, why should they count?

We Answered:

The DNC has rules and regulations to prevent chaos and establish civility. Attempting to change the rules at the end of the election cycle is very obvious. The two states didn't matter to Hillary Clinton; until the number stop adding to her success. Now she is attempting to distort the truth; pander to voters in those state who support her; and ignoring those who supported other candidates.

Shirley Said:

Why is the electorial college for elections still being used today?

We Answered:

NO CLUE....it is archaic......Carter tried to eliminate it but the wealthy don't want the average american's vote to count! As long as we have the "electoral college" (jefferson only felt it would be necessary until the populace can educate themselves enough to be able to vote), the wealthy will be able to choose their man! It sucks and it's unfair! Bush is living proof!

Sue Said:

Florida Election 2006 - Need side by side comparison of all the candidates?

We Answered:

I'm afraid I don't know where you can find a side by side comparison for Florida. I'm in a different state and we can get that kind of comparison online at our local newspaper website. So you might check some of your newspaper websites. The following is a great non-partisan website with information on every state candidate.
