Like most Republicans they are obligated to their top contributors and big businesses in the state. You dont know what an unknown person will do once in office and she has never said specifically what her plans are. That scares me. With Jerry you know what you are getting.

You are right in making that point. You can bet that there are many Republican contributors and Pete Wilson's people who are contributing. The $120 million paid for the TV ads.

She does not really care about the people of California. That separates her from Jerry Brown. No wealthy ex-Governor would move to Oakland and still lives there, and attempt to make it a better place. She would remain secluded in her Atherton mansion, like Arnold continued to live in Los Angeles.

Whitman is against unions but those are the working people of the state. Granted the municipal unions that cover the correctional guards, the police, the firefighters, transportation, construction union workers get high salaries, expensive pensions and benefits and I know Jerry Brown believes that. But trade unions have only working class people in their ranks like teachers and hotel workers.

I dont know why anyone would want that job including Jerry Brown at age 72 but he knows what to do without training. Whitman has NO political or government experience like Arnold.

Kerry`s statements just prove the how the Democrats are uninformed and have true contempt for the Military. As do the postings here by liberals.

1.The Military is better educated than the general population.
2.The Military is all volunteer.
3. One can not join without a minimum of a high school degree.
4. 73.3 percent of the Enlisted Military have some college, 16.2 percent have an associate’s degree or equivalent semester hours, and 4.7 have a bachelor’s degree. 85 percent of officers have advanced degrees – 70.7 percent have master’s degrees, 12.1 percent have professional degrees and 2.5 percent have doctorate degrees.
5. Dropouts can not get in the Military. They have to go to Mc Donalds.
6. Bush out performed with better grades Kerry in the same school and Bush went further.
7. There is no draft that takes underachieving kids out of school and sends them to war, that was the Vietnam war.
8. Kerry was talking to students about education.

So Kerry`s joke doesn`t fit and he was stating what he believed about a Military he has contempt for. The "Joke" was damage control for the gullible. Look at how they defend the Kerry instead of the military he defamed.

Senator McCain wants an apology too.

I've also heard feminists ready to excuse and even defend and laugh at horribly degrading things said about the likes of Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin.

Now, I don't see such a big problem here since I am not censorious at all. But feminists who want to claim the moral high ground and demand their sensibilities be respected have a real problem if they want to demand respect for all women EXCEPT those whose politics they oppose.
