Haiti corruption solution?

We Answered:

Unfortunately this is not a permanent solution.

Corruption does not start with, nor end with, elections. The most easily corrupted parts of a government are in the bureaucracy, the people who are employed by the state.

These jobs often have some amount of power, even if only a little bit, and are not closely regulated.

The best way is twofold.
1. Bring your bureaucracy under tighter observation.
2. Raise the standard of living for the nation. This will make corruption not cost-effective.
