In a word, NO.
People are criticising Davis for standing up for his beliefs.
I think he's a rare politician.
Mackenzie's "99%" decision to stand for election if the Labour party do not put up a candidate is a publicity stunt.
If Labour do not contest the seat it's because they are scared to be thrashed again.
I wish someone would do a Davis re the EU!!

Possibly because the left-right divide is largely artificial and very difficult to define. Mosley was really a modernist(and former Tory MP too!) who wished to get things done as such fascism had an obvious appeal to him once he had failed to energise the Labour Party.


In addition to this the left in the eighties developed an obsession with minority groups and a corresponding hatred of White British people, particularly those who happen to be working class. The BNP is only 'right' on immigration and race it's other polices are mainly to the left of Nu-Labour. As such it is of obvious attraction to old style socialists who can't find much value in allowing Islamic values to drag Britain back to the middle ages.
