The sad thing about it all is that there are many many Americans who have simply accepted the racial stereotypes and negative comments made about the various ethnicities. To put this into perspective, it would be like suggesting that someone shouldn't vote for Obama b/c he is a lawyer and "we all know how shifty lawyers are"... kinda absurd, don't you think?

So why are such things true? Why still do so many Americans believe that Obama is a Muslim (and that apparently a Muslim can't be president)? Why still do so many Americans believe that Obama is "unAmerican"? Why aren't they also questioning whether or not John McCain is an elitist with his 7 houses and wealthy family relations?

I suggest that those individuals who take such a narrow point of view and can't look beyond race and other "trappings of ignorance" might want to stay home on Nov 4th and let others decide who should be in charge.
