Ma Senate Candidates

Wayne Said:

Are there any Catholics who work in MA hospital emergency rooms?

We Answered:

Catholics need not apply under the Coakley regime!!!

Marshall Said:

Why is Hussein traveling to MA to save Teddy Chappaquiddick's Senate seat, instead of going to Haiti?

We Answered:

Because if President Obama were to travel there, his presence would interfere with relief efforts. The FAA temporally suspended flights into Haiti because of overcrowding of the airport, and the airspace around it. Also there is a fuel shortage for planes needing to refuel. Why did you 'forget' to admit that you think there is some political connection between having Obama as President, and that Haiti is 95% black?

Jennifer Said:

Is the report true that the MA Senate candidate Coakley is a lesbian?

We Answered:

she will lose and we will all be better off

Amanda Said:

Is the importance of the MA vote a testament to how extreme our politicians have become?

We Answered:

I think it is dangerous for either party to have unstoppable power. If the Senate were not so unbalanced, this election wouldn't be so important.

Jordan Said:

what would you like to change about this ? (O·ba·ma, Bar·ack /???b??m?, ?bæræk $ o?-/ (1961-) a US politician?

We Answered:

I would change "US politician" to "Kenyan born politician".

Alice Said:

If Democrats aren't at all afraid of losing the MA senate seat, why is President Obama coming to MA?

We Answered:

Funny thing is, she's more popular than Obama is now. It may backfire.

Eddie Said:

Did senate race in MA prove that feminists can't deliver the female vote?

We Answered:

I'm not sure that the MA election said so much in terms of gender divisions as it did party dynamics. Massachusetts is a very Democratic state in federal elections, making any federal Republican victory there a giant red flag for the Democratic party.

The big news isn't that a woman lost in a Democratic state - it's that a Democrat lost in a Democratic state, suggesting that some worrying may be in order for 2010 and 2012.

As for the fact that women don't automatically vote for women (not to a very significant degree, anyway), that was pretty well established by the 2008 Democratic primaries: Hillary Clinton was flabbergasted to see surprisingly low support among female Democrats in comparison to her male rival, encouragingly demonstrating that we're at least at the point where you can't expect people to vote for you just because they've got the same equipment.
