Both sides practice hypocrisy, but the Democrats are more self-righteous about it.

Democrats, for example, love to rail on the lack of family values shown by Republicans, yet consistently re-elect "openly gay" gay whorehouse operator Barney Frank. I guess running a gay whorehouse is the Democrat version of "Family Values".

Liberals keep calling this "Massachusettes" seat, Ted Kennedy's seat. WRONG! This is the people's seat! Obama is going there to try to throw a hail Mary pass during the last minutes of the campaign.

That may not work very well now that Coakley is in such a hot mess. She said that devout Catholics "probably shouldn't work in the emergency room" because laws on mandated abortion coverage are more important than nurses' and doctors' moral objections to the practice.

Let's face it, folks: Democrat Martha Coakley is a hot mess. The bad news and controversies just continue to grow surrounding the state attorney general and her candidacy to represent Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate.

So, no hail Mary passes for Martha!

Here's another question: what the hell is the President of the United States doing taking a whole weekend to campaign for the re-election of one senator?

To answer your question, yes, he knows. He's not an idiot.

It's just that the people who run the political system in the US have become so jaded and arrogant, they think no matter what they do, no matter how outrageous their lies become, and no matter how angry the people get, that any problem can be solved with a good PR campaign.

They truly believe that they can get away with anything. Their view is, no matter what happens, public opinion can always be won back through deceit and manipulation.

They've had it so easy for so long, they are really not prepared for the changing political environment we see today. They still refuse to acknowledge that people are not as stupid and easy to manipulate as they used to be.

Hopefully that will be their downfall.
