Filing requirements for candidates seeking the Republican Party or Democratic Party nomination: A candidate who wishes to seek the Republican Party or Democratic Party nomination to the office of Governor must file an Affidavit of Identity and a partisan nominating petition bearing a minimum of 15,000 valid signatures no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 11, 2010. Up to 30,000 signatures can be filed to cover the minimum signature requirement. The petition must be signed by at least 100 registered electors in each of at least ½ of the congressional districts in the state. (The Affidavit of Identity filing requirement is explained in greater detail below.) (MCL 168.53; 544f)
Such candidates will appear on the August 3, 2010 primary ballot; the winning nominees will appear on the November 2, 2010 general election ballot with the candidates nominated to the office of Lieutenant Governor by their respective parties.

wow, not in as much detail as that....

i am a conservative, sitting on the sidelline..(quite bored as well) so watching the whole thing has made one thing evident....

early on the whole thing could have been resolved to both parties involved and put to bed... to do so would have given Hillary a slight bump when she needed one..... not doing so and putting it off only perpetuated the slide of Hillary and has changed the course of the election...

in the end it may still have went towards obama, but my gut and common sense tells me not.....obama camp fought too hard to not let any resolution occur till now when resolving it changes nothing,.....

in the end Florida and Michigan voters were denied their say and because the delaying tactic by the party and obama their votes were made useless.......

i truly hope the people of both states understand fully the manipulation that occured to nullify their choice....and how it changed the course of the election.....
