Most Candidates Today

Rosemary Said:

What are the most important crisis facing America today and what Candidate is the best for our Country?

We Answered:

I think we need to keep our troops in Iraq until the Iraqi people have the confidence and strength to keep the country together. Once the people of Iraq open their eyes to the great possibilities that are now offered them, will they unite as a country? I am not sure that can ever happen, because their is such disrespect between the different factions, so we may end up with the short end of the stick like we did in Viet Nam.
It's all up to the Iraqi's.
I am tremendously proud of our troops, and thank them for the self sacrifices they are dealing with. I wish them safety and blessings.
For our country, we need to revamp the education system. We need to start paying educators enough money so that teaching becomes a competitive market. There are too many mediocre teachers out there, being paid too little makes it hard to go to school and put up with the crap they have to put up with. It takes the joy out of it, which makes it hard for kids to learn.Don't get me wrong, most teachers go in with alot of passion, but, it fades with all the extra baggage.
The immigration issue could be taken care of by the US and Mexico getting together and creating a multitude of jobs down there so people wouldn't have to come up here to find a decent wage.
Mexico should take responsibility for it's lack of initiative, a country should care about it's people.
There are many issues, there are many candidates, I hope we can find the next election to be one where the issues are "for the people", not just the same old double talk.

Diane Said:

If Election were held today, who is your most preferred candidate with reference to their platforms presented?

We Answered:

Which election?

Sandra Said:

Which candidate is most likely to benefit from the unseasonably warm weather today?

We Answered:

Obama!!!!! OOOh I cant wait til tonight!!

Charles Said:

Castro praised Obama as the "most advanced candidate" today. Add that to Hamas' endorsement of Obama

We Answered:

He's building up quite an "Anti-American" following on just about every front:

At home (Bill Ayers)
Abroad (Hamas)
In his personal life (Michelle)
In his spirutual life (Wright)
His politics (Marxism)
His business (Audacity of Hope) inspired by Wright

A real indicator for what "type" of CHANGE to expect !

Peggy Said:

Can someone please explain to me why hiring the most qualified candidates isn't the best way to run a business?

We Answered:

Hiring the most qualified candidate IS the best way to run a business, as long as you realize that a person's qualifications aren't stored in the melanin content of their skin.

The whole point of affirmative action (as flawed as it is), was that employers were flat out overlooking qualified applicants based on their skin color.

So justice prevailed. Hooray!

Anita Said:

Will you Vote for Lobbyist candidates(Hillary and MacCain) today?

We Answered:

You must have done some research on the candidates. You're correct with the Lobbying stuff.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that doesn't take money from Lobbyists.

Glenda Said:

Applied to a job today...how do I show the most interest out of all candidates?

We Answered:

Well you already missed your first chance to stand out in the application process, you should always turn in a professional resume with an application. Tailor the resume to the job you are applying for and find some way to make it stand out amongst the rest, for a sporting good store you could try a well know inspirational sport quote or something. I know it sounds hokey, I hated doing stuff like that when I was applying for jobs, but now I hire for positions where I get 200 applications for one position and you don’t have time to read through them all. When you turn in your resume dress the part. I am not saying dress in a suit and tie but dress presentable and approachable. For a position like this maybe kakis and a polo shirt or similar. Always be friendly to everyone, but don’t be too friendly and make the mistake of sharing too much information. The workers behind the counter taking your application can make you or break you, try being personable and chat them up a bit. Also, you never know who is a wolf in sheep’s clothing…you may think you are talking to just a lackey employee and it may turn out that they are the manager (I know, it’s happened to me).

When you go to follow up with a resume, play the same role you played when you dropped off your resume. DO NOT CALL, go in and talk to someone face to face. Make them know who you are, not just a disembodied person over the phone. Ask for a manager. If no manager is available offer to leave a note, this way you’re not putting the responsibility on them. Write a brief note that says that you came by to check of your application, that you are very interested in the position and that you cannot wait to hear from them. Leave your name and phone number. (Trick – bring your own pen and paper).

Whatever you do, do not be abrasive, do not be annoying...be friendly and outgoing, someone other people would want around.
