Presidential Candidate 2008

Ben Said:

Where can I find the total votes received by each 2008 presidential candidate?

We Answered:

Buy the USA Today Nov. 4th edition.

Nora Said:

Which 2008 presidential candidate are you going to vote for?

We Answered:

John McCain
He is and old conservative and will continue to do what President Bush is doing right now, kepping the fight with the terroists on their home turf. He also wants to simply build a wall along the Mexican border to stop the illegal once and for all. He is as conservative as they get.

But just as long as a republican gets in I'm happy.

Maxine Said:

Who is a 2008 Presidential Candidate that opposes Amnesty? Who will make the illegal immigrants leave?

We Answered:

Duncan Hunter

Russell Said:

Which 2008 presidential candidate wants to eliminate taxes the most?

We Answered:

Ron Paul, he wants to abolish the income tax as well as the IRS

Erik Said:

Which 2008 Presidential candidate had to be tested for nationality?

We Answered:

None of them. No special session was held by Congress to "test" McCain. No documents were presented (McCain DID show his birth certificate to one journalist), no hearings were held. No Democrat questioned his qualifications.

Bloggers and a couple of law professors had raised doubts about McCain's special case (it's a legal curiosity unlikely to be repeated). McCain's colleagues and friends in the senate reacted with a non-binding unanimous Resolution declaring McCain to be a natural born citizen. During a judiciary committee break Senator Leahy asked Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff (a former federal judge) if he agreed that McCain was eligible. Chertoff agreed. That was it. McCain himself had a study commissioned by Ted Olson and Laurence Tribe because his status wasn't clear, and that was read into the Congressional Record when Leahey called for the bill.

If you think any sessions or hearings were held, please find them in the Congressional Record. The Resolution is SR 511 http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?…

What 2008 Presidential Candidate most closely matches these views?

Here are some sites that might help you.

The only issues I support and agree with on in your list is Pro-Life and marijuana for medicine, but that's not what you're asking for in your question.

Amy Said:

Does anyone know a good website for the 2008 presidential candidate's views on the environment?

We Answered:

Here's a few sites that seem quite good (both liberal and conserative):

http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/10/…

http://www.conservationreport.com/2007/1…

http://www.grist.org/feature/2007/07/06/… (this one seems fairly old, though)

I'm very pleased and proud of you for being interested enough to get informed!
