Primary Election Candidates 2010

Edward Said:

Is it really true that the Republican Party could gain votes by moving to the center?

We Answered:

No, they have to stick to their ideals, going center will make them lose votes, thats what happened last time with McCain

Wanda Said:

How long before Obama's lemmings start declaring the entire state of Kentucky racist?

We Answered:

It's not about racism; it's about regulation.

The recent economic collapse; the need to borrow money to bail out banks and AIG; the Massey Mines safety violations and deaths; the Toyota acceleration deaths; and now the BP Gulf of Mexico disaster and deaths -- all have reminded us of the dire need for government regulation. We know capitalism quickly becomes predatory without regulation. We want Senators who will put our safety above corporate profit. Rand Paul puts corporate profit above people.

So I'm not calling them racist (they may or may not be). But as usual, people who vote Republican are not acting in their own interest. It's just this time it should be more obvious to them, and still they don't get it.

Daryl Said:

Senator Arlen Specter Leaves the GOP, Will His Contributors Follow Him?

We Answered:

Well, look, he was never far off being a Democrat in any event, as has been widely observed. In the end, this was the ultimate act of political self-preservation by means of a realtively small redefinition. Look, just a few days ago, Real Clear Politics reported that Specter was down by 21 points to Toomey in the primary. Clearly, he was going to lose that primary, and his only way to the general would be to jump the party. Trouble is, of course, that those numbers will not be changing more than a few points either side in the general, absent some huge swings, which I simply don’t see happening in that district. As a district it’s polled significantly to the right of Specter, to my memory of the thing, so he’s still got a hell of an uphill fight to beat Toomey. o_O

Christina Said:

In a recent Ron Paul interview on CNN Wolf Blitzer told him the KY race was tied at 46%?

We Answered:

Of course it's deliberate. I'm not even a huge fan of Rand Paul (though I regard his Dad as nothing less than a living legend), yet I favor him (Rand) infinitely over any opponent simply because he's not an insider and all the others are.
