Pro Life Candidates
Craig Said:
Would you ever vote for a pro child sacrifice candidate if you are pro life?We Answered:
"Child sacrifice" as in bringing a living breathing on its own child to some Volcano and throwing it in?AAAHHHH Nope even if he were a Libertarian :)
Abortion IS NOT AN ISSUE that any President will change for the entire country.
It is a MOOT issue.

What pro-life & pro-environmental presidential candidates are there out there? If any?We Answered:
I have not personally checked the positions of the candidates yet.. I can only give generalities and observations, which may or may not be helpful. But here goes! .The Democrats say they are pro environmental, but the evidence they are truly so is sketchy, due to their being generally rich people, their associations with Big Business, and Big Labor, and even Big Environment, and l submit as the prime example their penchant of having multiple houses, as in Al Gore, all wasteful of energy, while George Bush, often blasted, in his personal life has a modest house built to be very highly energy efficient, and even recycles waste water for garden and lawn.
There are individual conservatives and individuals who believe in good fair government in both major parties, but unfortunately they seem to be in a very, very small minority.
However, there are 3rd parties you can vote for...but you do have to dig to find them, as the major parties suppress them as much as possible, and even supposedly "open" debates will not let them in. In Billings, Montana a few years ago, a 3rd party candidate was not allowed in to a debate sponsored by the newspaper, since the moderator said that people would be confused if there was another side presented!!
I think you should concentrate on the 3rd parties where you can get folks whose God is not the Dollar Almighty, but you have to figure it will take a lot of time unless things change to get people interested in real issues.
However, with the two major parties about even up in voter power, a 3rd party can be a "spoiler" by moving votes that would normally go to one party to itself. In which case supporting a very liberal "Green" candidate in a minor party might help siphon off enough Democratic votes to put a Republican back into power.
For myself I have found the Libertarian Party to be the most satisfactory, with a full spectrum of issues, and basically they would take us back to Constitutional government, and tho I do not agree with them completely, they are so much better than either major party they get my votes, in large measure.
They differ from both major parties in believing the small government taking care of national problems is the way to go, not a huge government interfering with every aspect of your life. Be less taxes, too, with a smaller government!
My two suggestions would be to investigate the third parties, by writing and asking them where they stand on issues of special concern to you. Also write the various major party candidates and ask them, and see if they care enough about the individual to send a response!
And in the major parties, look at the record carefully. Do they favor things like national health plans with government doctors on limited salaries, such as sends Canadians over here for doctoring, and did things like to a friend in England who had a young son diagnosed as a hopeless mental defective, year after year, but then the old government doctor died, and a new doctor came in, and immediately found all the child needed was a good pair of glasses! Now the "mental defective" of the socialized medicine is a near honor student. Actually caught up on the years of deprivation under socialized medicine where my friend had no choice!
Anyhow, check out the candidates, lay their pledges up against your desires, and ask them the hard questions. Like for example, I found my Senator claims ENDA is a harmless addition to the Defense Bill to assure fair play for everybody, but it appears that this is not the case, and it apparently lends the government seal of approval to discrimination against certain groups with good objectives.
Gotta keep asking. Collecting the data, asking questions, and seeing if the written positions go along with the voting record; all important. Also look at the income and from where. I do think someone who makes a half-million a year off oil stocks and Big Business donations, is not likely to keep me happy and my gasoline prices reasonable.!
One final issue, and that is CHECK to see that your vote was counted and counted correctly. In Oregon, the 3rd party votes were not counted until weeks later, and the evidence was that they were counted not for the 3rd party, but for the major party that particular election judge felt need a bigger margin, or needed a few thousand to go past his opposition. And the courts, controlled by the major parties as to appointments, would not even consider challenges!
I do think also one needs to find out the education of those we vote for. If it is a legal education, be careful. If it is liberal arts, much more likely to be sensible. Music training would help, in my opinion, and it would help to have had courses in propaganda analysis and in the hard sciences. And economics would be good too; one of my legislators believes that the higher the minimum wage the better off we are, and he would like to see maybe $100/hour so there would no longer be any poor people. There is a fallacy in that approach! Many in fact. And he obviously does not remember German History, among others.
And oh, check to see what kind of pets a candidate has. You can tell a lot about a candidate's personality by what pets he has, or if he has none. Havng none tends to be an uncaring mean-business driving person who cannot take time to relax and care for the helpless. Dog people want to rule, and demand, and they like the dog who will love you even if you ignore or hurt him, generally speaking. Cat people are used to having an independent member of the household, and adjusting, and loving rather than demanding obedience and love.
Gonna be an uphill battle to find someone good, and be sure your vote counts. Too many dishonest people in high places. I wish you success...and if you find it, let me know; I might want to vote that way too!!

What are some good debate questions for a pro-life candidate? We Answered:
Don't really know. From what I've seen of pro-life zealots, you don't have much going for you.Adam Said:
Why do Pro-Life Christians fall for the abortion trick? We Answered:
When conservatives ran every branch of the federal government (in the early 2000s) they didn't look at overturning abortion. They don't want to actually change the law, because then they wouldn't be able to use it to get votes. It is an easy trick, but it works on a lot stupid people...a lot.Daniel Said:
Can you locate a list of PA candidates who are pro life and pro choice? We Answered:
Why?The abortion issue is a Supreme Court issue. They decided it in 1977 in Roe v Wade, and ONLY the supreme court can reverse that decision.
No candidate at any level can do a thing about it--not even the President can affect that decision. Even Sarah Palin, who we know to be strongly Pro-Life, has never said she would reverse Roe v Wade if elected, because she would have no power to do so.
If you vote only on the abortion issue, then you might as well not vote, because no one you vote for on that issue can change it.
Alberto Said:
Does it make pro lifers feel better knowing the president is pro life?We Answered:
You make a good point. Aggressively pro-life candidates Reagan, Bush and Bush, as Presidents have done nothing to reverse a woman's right to choose.Even though conservative judges were appointed by these Presidents, these judges still clearly have no intention of touching this issue with a barge pole.
So the continued "battle" between pro-life and pro-choice elements in the electorate is really just a charade.
Instead the extremes on both sides would do better to work with moderates to ensure reasonable and sensible compromise legislation that limits late term abortions, ensures mothers are given all infomation and options in an honest and professional manner and maximises the safety to mothers that do choose not to carry a baby.
