This is a complete nonsense, and the Labour Party should only consider this idea if they really want to lose the next election.

If ethnic minorities or women are under-represented in parliament, then it is reasonable to target advertising and recruitment at these groups, but when it comes to selection procedures, candidates must be chosen on their merits.

We can voice our disapproval by refusing to vote for any candidate selected from a such limited shortlist.

Incidentally, haven't the BNP always operated whites-only shortlists in selecting candidates? That is assuming they have enough people willing to stand to form a shortlist.
