Republican Party Candidates

Claudia Said:

Why are the democratic party candidates getting more national coverage than the republican candidates?

We Answered:

There are a lot of reasons.

First of all, there's a theory that this election started very early because people are so disgusted with how things are going that they're looking forward to the next administration and the next Congress. If so, the media sees an advantage in covering challengers over incumbents, in both presidential and congressional races, especially when the incumbent is a 'lame duck'.

Secondly, with de-regulation or media have become very profit-oriented and they twist the news to their own economic advantage. They rate candidates by money and whoever comes into the race with the most money they declare the presumptive candidate and they treat the rest as 'also-rans' from the beginning. They do this, of course, because all that money eventually goes into their own pockets, being spent on ads in media! This time around it's the Democrats who have more money!

Finally, legit or not, the Democrats are more able to promise real change. All the Republican candidates except Paul have all the same opinions on all the same issues, the official party positions. The media recognize (and I think people are beginning to recognize too) that the GOP is not about one man, it's about an agenda. Whichever GOP candidate you pick, you get not -his- ideas and agenda but the standard party ideas and agenda.

The Democrats are more interesting to cover because they actually have different positions, they actually disagree on lots of things. (This should get Ron Paul more coverage, but the media know he doesn't have a chance of getting the Republicans' nomination!)

Greg Said:

Why are the Republican Party Candidates losing so badly to Tea Party Candidates?

We Answered:

O'Donnell won w/ about 57% i think...ti about 43%

that leaves 43% that didn't want her. think about that.

now consider that there are still MODERATE conservatives in the ranks, that will not vote for these nut jobs no matter what, and i think the TEA party, the very monster that the republican extreme created is eating them alive...

the same way extreme liberalism did in the democratic party in the late 70's...

they're dying...slowly..and painfully....

Maria Said:

How hard will Republican candidates fight for tea party votes in Nov?

We Answered:

If what happened in Kentucky is any indication, I'll say that the Republican votes will be split between themselves and the tea baggers' candidates.

Oh well.

That's what happens when you embrace hatred, bigotry, fear mongering, ignorance, and unfounded anger.

Frank Said:

Why do Tea Party Republican Candidates like Sharon Angle want to do away with Social Security?

We Answered:

They probably want to loot everybody's retirement accounts, force people to pay a fortune for insurance that will dump them the first time the get sick without paying for the care, force everybody to pay taxes for the prison slave labor camps they will open up with prohibition while she and her republican cronies run the liqueur and drugs to fill them. and start a war with the whole world for profit.

Herbert Said:

Today, which of the following groups is LEAST supportive of Republican party candidates?

We Answered:

D obv. What's your point?

Andy Said:

How did the Republican party find candidates even worse than McCain?

We Answered:

Think about it - you would have to be insane in order to actually *want* to be the one to have to clean up the mongolian clusterf**k that Dubya & Co. will have left behind.

Thusly - we have our candidates.

Viola Said:

Why doesn't the Republican party let their local representatives pick their own candidates?

We Answered:

The Republican Party is actually very top-down oriented. A few powerful party and business leaders set the platform and policies and agenda. They pick candidates not for their own ideas but as spokesmen for the Party Agenda.

This is why GW Bush made such a good candidate for them, a man with no political thinking of his own--in fact, not an idea in his head. He could be counted on to just read whatever they put in front of him. He was never able to do an unscripted interview because he didn't understand his own opinions and positions well enough to discuss them, he needed the questions to be pre-approved and scripted, and to be provided with answers ahead of time.

This was why all the Repub. presidential candidates in 2008 had all the same opinions and positions on all the same issues. The Party Agenda. Candidates who did have their own ideas, and were able to discuss them intelligently, like Ron Paul, were marginalized, treated as not serious candidates. This is also why the party destroyed John McCain in 2000 with a vicious smear campaign--he really was a -maverick- in those days. And he got over it, to become a big Bush booster for 8 years. He learned the game.

'Unity' was the Republican Party's great power for many years, but now, ironically, it's led to the party's downfall.
