Do you think the supreme court should allow corporations and unions to endorse political candidates? We Answered:
I don't know upon which constitutional grounds they could be prevented from endorsing a political candidate. I would however like to see corporate and union money removed from the playing field.Jeanne Said:
What do you think about the Supreme Court's decision on donating money to candidates? We Answered:
This is terrible. Corporations should be banned from the political process. Unfortunately more and more over the last 100 years the Supreme Court keeps treating them as "persons" having the rights of citizens. this doesn't have to be the case. The charter of a corporation is created by government, they can regulate corporations as much as they want. Yet we keep getting stuff like this. And the problem is complicated by the fact that the bought-and-paid-for Legislators have made it so corporations owe no allegiance to any particular country. Being International, immortal and able to amass vast capital just wasn't enough for them, they want the rights of citizens also, and are getting them. We The People can't compete against that.
I have thought for a long time that America is moving into a sort of corporate feudal serfdom. you want a job? You must go to them. And they make government arrange all the rules in their favor. It's better than slavery, but not much.
