The strategy of the Tea Party is not to win but to affect the balance.

The TP movement began with supporters of Ron Paul, libertarians. But the GOP saw an opportunity to co-opt it, to take it over. Today it is a 'stealth' Republican movement, to win back Republicans who were disgusted with GW Bush. All the money that drives the party today comes from Republican sources. All the leaders are Republicans, and the movement is promoted and built up by Fox News which is a Republican operation. It's a 'stealth' Republican movement.

While some more traditional GOP candidates will be defeated on the local and state level, whatever Tea Party candidates do get elected will become solid Republicans as soon as they take office. Wait and see.

The tea party "IS" the new Republican party. The old Republican party has drifted so far to the left, people can't distinguish it from the centrist wing of the Democrat party. Words like Republicrat and Demicans used to be accurate descriptions.

Smaller government, lower taxes, and a strong military, with a government that practices fiduciary responsibility, is what the Republican party used to stand for. What's wrong with that? If republicans think they can win, only by offering moderate republicans (who act like democrats) we have all lost.

Republican "leaders," who promote "moderates," have no right to be considered "leaders." Americans are conservative. It's time conservative "leaders" took the "Elephant" by the tusks and collected the winnings. Moderates and right wing democrats are finding a new home with the new philosophy of the Republican party, While the ultra left wing of the democrat party pushes them away. Moderate republicans have no where else to go, and are now terrified of the 0bama ultra left wing agenda.

All that remains to the left is ancient politica lies, changing definitions of words, voter fraud and Saul Alinsky tactics.

The far left wing liberals, and progressives took control of the democrat party over the last 10 years with anti Bush propaganda. Then lied to America selling itself as moderate. That lie is no longer sustainable. Conservatives and patriots are now taking over the Republican party with the Tea party movement.
