Because McCain is like a default. He is what we have always had as a president, and Americans want to choose something new and unique (a minority).

I would consider it; I consider all the candidates.
But in the past, he has seemed a bit too far out there for me.
I would be more likely to vote for him in a primary that wasn't going to be close, or where I would take any of the top candidates for the general election, in order to make a point about how the party should be thinking.
