Conservation And Preservation
Susan Said:
What is the difference between Conservation and Preservation? We Answered:
Well they are two main schools of thought.Conservationists want to protect the environment, but they also want to use it at the same time. They manage the resources so that it will florish but they will also be able to use the abundant product that comes along with florishing.
Preservationists want to protect the environment from everyone and want it to be left in pristine condition. They save locations just becuase they should be. Its a good thought but not practical in todays society. Although certain areas should be preserved from the human touch.
Hope that helps

Do you know the difference between preservation and conservation? We Answered:
This is just my thinking, so it might not be accurate, but:Preservation involves saving things, like species or habitats, that might otherwise be destroyed by human neglect. For example, if somebody says that we shouldn't build condos on Florida's swamplands because they are home to a lot of endangered species, that's preservation.
Conservation, on the other hand, refers to using resources wisely so that we do not damage the environment or destroy our ability to use those resources in the future. Farmers rotate the fields they use to grow crops so that they don't destroy the nutrient base in any one patch of land. That allows them to plant crops year after year.
I suppose you could argue that the terms are synonymous, and many people seem to use them interchangeably. Either way, they're both good ideas and we would do well to practice them.

How does one become a historic preservation/conservation architect? We Answered:
Whether you have a BArch or a MArch, you need to do your research and apply to firms that specialize in historic preservation/conservation. Having a MArch helps because you can tailor your thesis to emphasize that specialty.Armando Said:
whats the difference in conservation and preservation? We Answered:
Conservation is to use something in a "wise" manner, so the resource may continue to be used in the future. The assumption is that whatever is being conserved is for humankind's use, whether now or in the future.Preservation is to avoid using something at all, and is usually (though some might argue this point) linked to the idea that whatever it is that is being preserved was never exclusively for use by humankind.

What is the difference between conservation preservation and conservation utilization? We Answered:
Conservation utilization is using our environmental assets to help humanity thrive while enhancing rather than destroying the environment needed to maintain a healthy planet.Conservation preservation is the notion that somehow change is not a reality of life on planet earth and we need to prevent any change.
It is a silly notion that is impossible to maintain and preservation should only apply to things that belong in museums.
Responsibly managing our environment in a manner that isn't destructive or wasteful is the sensible
course of action.
