´´Here is not a place for conservative priests and ministers``. What d´you think about that?We Answered:
Your statement is too sweeping. What about a gay-friendly priest or minister who is conservative on other Christian beliefs, like Jesus' resurrection, but who is honestly honoring of God's gay children? Are they not welcome?
If you are speaking only of gay-bashing ministers and priests, I agree with you. But many clergy love God and the Bible, but are gay-friendly.

Authors on the left often go more for the appeal to emotion than for the appeal to logic. This doesn't make the right-wing authors any more rational; they often are not.In the appeal to emotion "this sort of reasoning involves the substitution of various means of producing strong emotions in place of evidence for a claim."
http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies…
Let's take President Obama for example. Lately on the campaign trail he has been saying, "You want to go forward, what do you do? You put it in ‘D.’ When you go backward, what do you do? You put it in ‘R,’".
Well, yes, that is true, but in such language he is equating Democratic ideals with "going forward" while at the same time without saying "forward into what". European leaders have been warning the President that he is headed toward the very left wing ideas that they have all backed off from, namely, the social policies that nearly bankrupted nations and nearly destroyed their national sense of self-esteem.
But in the U.S., the left doesn't think in terms of individual sovereignty, or of the "self-made man", or of anything but social engineering. Therefore, the logic for them is to believe that men are helpless, hapless creatures of civilization.
The appeal to emotion, therefore, goes straight to their modern democratic humanism; whereas the right is more inclined toward secular humanism, which in the U.S. is closely tied to the separation of church and state. So the right argues for humanism without state intervention, which is logically Constitutional, while the left argues for state intervention which necessarily requires the initiation of force if it is to become reality.
You can't argue for the use of force by the state, so you must argue to the emotions. The right wing argues against the use of force by the state, so by appearance it will seem more "logical" than "emotional".
