The sad and shameful Ann Coulter and Bill Oreilly often point to their book sales as some kind of vindication, but popularity alone doesn't vindicate ideas. The Nazis were popular for a time, and obviously their ideas were very bad.

Let Ann, Rush, and crew vent all they want. A lot of people blamed the democrats loss in 2004 on being associated with the left wing hollywood extremists. Let Ann and Rush tout the fact that they are conservatives, it will just make all conservatives look bad. Not that I want that, but oh well.

I saw Ann on hardball - there were people who liked her conservative ideas but were disturbed by her presentation. They tried to explain this to her and she shrugged them off. That's sad, if I agree with what someone says and they are complete asshole, I can't condone their existence at all, I'll find someone else who agrees with my viewpoint.

like any book club you need to read the small print of what you are committed to by joining - many offer very cheap books to start with but you are committed to buying at least one book per month at full price for the next 12 months (or something similar) - the club has been going for a long time so won't be an outright scam but do check the small print before you sign up so that you do not find yourself forced to buy expensive books you dont want

I read it and thought it was pretty mild. I don't recall any excessive swearing or inappropriate situations that would make a conservative book club uncomfortable. I would say go ahead and read it.
