That's a good layed back Christian message board that I'm part of. You can chat with fellow christians and/or conservatives about life in general, advice, games, etc.

I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you want a good moral atmosphere.

Whenever someone uses "liberal" or "conservative" as a slur it tends to be a sign that their position is weak. It might make them (and the people that agree with their position) feel good for the moment, but you're right, it's ultimately counterproductive because it coarsens and cheapens the entire dialog.

I used to spend hours reading people's postings. It was interesting, and edifying. In fact I learned more from the discussion boards than from Yahoo news. There was no question that some of the posters were better educated, better informed and better writers than the so-called professionals. True there were some pathetic creatures screaming for attention, but one could easily ignore them. Yahoo claims they got rid of it because of the trolls, but they don't really think the public is that naive, do they?
