Holy Cow! Okay, First, be honest. We all know that by high school a lot of the kids know more than the teachers (depending upon the subject) and some of those kids may have more life experiences than you do.
So, tell them you are a democrat and that you are taking on this supervisory position because you love helping students. Then tell them your job is to be there to support them in what they're doing.
Your real job is to provide resources for them. Republicans have the same set up at Democrats,so just go to the local Republican HQ and find out what events are taking place and then help the kids come up with project ideas.

A teacher's job is NEVER to try and indoctrinate the kids, but to assist them in getting information, learning how to get information, and learning how to put together projects.

You're supposed to be helping them develop critical thinking!!!!

You gotta do what you gotta do. A lot of women are not voting for Palin (and McCain), and that doesn't make them anti-feminists. The issues are and SHOULD be more important than a skin color or a Y-chromosome.

Don't feel guilty. Just tell them you don't agree with Obama on the issues.
