How can we conserve forests? We Answered:
Palm oil is a major cause of cutting down trees. it is in many many products and a lot of trees have to be cut down to obtain it.every 2 Seconds, ancient woodlands are being cut down the size of a FOOTBALL FIELD!
there are more and more humans being born and less are dying so in order for there to be enough food there has to be more room to grow and raise the food, but all the cutting down of trees are destroying forests including rain forests which we barely know anything about.
there are things we can personally do to help limit deforestation though! :)
-limit the products with palm oil or buy products that substitute them.
-buy bamboo instead of wood because it grows very quickly and is very tough
-reuse your furniture by reupholstering it and recycle the wood once your finished with it.
-try not to buy hard woods like oak and cherry, even though they look nice they are very slow to grow and is therefore takes a lot more time to replace
-join different groups to help conserve forests or donate to them so they can help protect them.
-last but not least you can plant trees as often as you'd like. at first they need a lot of watering to grow but its worth it. b=you can buy trees in bulk and you can call your local county and see if they have any. my county sells 20 trees for 10 bucks which is a very good price
whatever you do stick up for what you believe in and spread the word, one person may not be ale to do a lot but by spreading word it can catch fire and a lot of ppl will do a lot!
hope this information helped you

Our beautiful planet is dying!I feel helpless how can we stop the destruction of our forests and seas.?We Answered:
I have been upset about the same thing since I was a little girl. I went on to University to study Environmental Biology so I could be of some use. I climbed on diggers, campaigned, nagged my parents, shopped using my backpack instead of plastic bags when others thought I was mad (it's now ok to do this). I still hate it, but I believe we are pretty helpless as the bulk of people just don't care....amazing as that may seem to you.The only thing you could do to stop the destruction of most life on earth, is to wipe out the pest which is causing it. I know the earth as a planet will survive the human race, but why do we have to take everything down with us?
