Does the media perpetuate the liberal vs. conservative political debate? We Answered:
Yes, all the major media news outlets have their Hannity to their Colmes or a Bennet to Carville... some agencies make it very top heavy to one ideaology but they all exploit the differences. It is rare for a story to be just told without some lib vs con commentary. The viewer doesn't even get to digest the information first without any filter from the spin... instinctively if you believe Hannity then you will veer to his argument and its in the reverse if you don't buy his arguments. Seldom do we actually research the topics in detail.... we tend to trust the guy who is in line with our ideaologies. It didn't used to be this way.... and in the past we tended to compromise more and have more diverse opinions. Now everything tends to be black and white.

Another question regarding Liberal vs Conservative? We Answered:
Your view that you received is completely false. Even ABC reported on it. Studies show that Conservatives give more to charity than liberals. Here is the report: http://a.abcnews.com/2020/story?id=26827…
"It turns out that this idea that liberals give more…is a myth. Of the top 25 states where people give an above average percent of their income, 24 were red states in the last presidential election."
Of course both conservatives and liberals give to charity....but let me ask this question. If Democrats (liberals) are so concerned about giving to charities....then why is Obama planning to reduce the amount of charitable donations you can deduct from taxes? He is proposing $0.28 on the dollar can be deducted. This will decrease donations across the board (conservatives and liberals). It's a blatant attempt of the federal government to take over these charities and control even more once they are dissolved due to lack of private funding.
I feel good being a conservative, because one of the core values of a conservative is believing in the individual. That we all have a chance to succeed, that we control our lives and we don't need a government to tell us what to do or how to live. That's what this country was founded on....it's why the freakin pilgrims first came here in the first place, because their government was telling them what religion to practice.

Liberal vs. Conservative...which one is more for checks and balances, such as war powers? We Answered:
I think that both are in favor of checks and balances. The Conservatives as a rule are not going to want any one person to have all the power. They are for small government, free enterprise, and small business. They are generally capitalists who want the market to decide the fate of businesses, and want people to take care of themselves, and want decisions to be more micro- and less macro-.
The Liberals as a rule are pretty notorious for putting all their eggs in one basket, in the form of a champion of some sort, but often these people come to power as a result of a grass roots type thing...so many people gave one person power, which means that in truth, it never was one person at all. They generally support the underdog and the masses, so again. But that does not mean that liberals are opposed to holding their leaders accountable.
This is just my opinion. I'm quite liberal in my politics. And for what that is worth, I am strongly in favor of checks and balances.
When it comes to war, I think the President is the single commander in chief of each branch of the military. This in itself is a check and balance against a crazy military leader, that the single most powerful influence over the whole military is in fact a civilian. But the Pres answers to the Congress when it comes to declaring the war, funding the war, and ending it. So there is very thankfully a check and balance system in that regard, to, when it comes to the President's powers during war.
Checks and balances are part of the democratic process, not a tendency of either conservatives or liberals.
