The Conservative Party Manifesto
Connie Said:
Will the public ever learn that election manifestos are merely a substitute for Andrex™ double-quilted?We Answered:
Cameron had the gall to call Brown a liar in the PM election debates and said they would be keeping winter fuel payments, free tv licenses and free bus passes and child benefit. He also said there would be no major reforms of the NHS. Every single thing he has said is a LIE and I hope at the next election we have another PM debate and Labour call him the big fat liar that he is.Shawn Said:
If this coalition government were not elected, and the pre election promises broken, what does that make them?We Answered:
To answer your main question directly, it makes them lying dictators. But isn't that what we had when Thatcher was in power? History does have a habit of repeating itself in this country. And while a few (students) have the guts to stand up to this tyranny and blood letting, many in Britain sit and watch from their comfortable rich homes whilst the rest of us struggle and wonder how we are going to pay the next utility bill. The increase in VAT in January is going to be the straw that broke the camels back for some who are already struggling. The future looks bleak whilst we have this hideous unelected coalition who are hell bent on destroying everything this country took decades to build.EDIT: Natalie, NOBODY voted for a coalition government. They appointed themselves. The Lib Dems had the least votes of all, but have been handed power to rule over us. And non of the pledges and promises made have been kept. Neither have any of the manifesto pledges that were made prior to the election. So we are being ruled by a dictatorship on lies and false promises. That is why people are whinging and whining. If it bothers you - there's a lot more to come so get over it.
EDIT: disgrunt.... Edward Heath took us into Europe in the first place - Not Labour. Maggie Thatcher ruled over us for 11 years and much as she despised Europe never once made an effort to take us out of it. And as for Gordon selling off the gold reserves, well that was a drop in the ocean compared to the enormous 18 years of Tory rule when they used the best of our North Sea Oil revenues to pay the enormous benefits bill to the 3,5 million people Maggie and Major put on the dole because it was a "price worth paying" to keep down inflation. Convenient for Tory supporters to forget the huge waste that Thatcher created.
EDIT: Mohart....The Tories voted along with Labour to go to war in Iraq. Brown spent more on men and equipment for Afghanistan than this coalition are prepared to spend. In fact they are cutting the military to the bone, much to the dissillusion of the military top brasses. Amd as for Bob Crow, the Tories will have no more control of him than Labour would. And dont forget that under the 13 years of Labour, they had the best relations with the Unions and there was far less strikes than at any time during the previous 18 years of Tory dictatorship. As for bringing Britain down - the Tories are doing a brilliant job of that right now without any help from Labour.
Leslie Said:
Is British politics becoming Presidential? We Answered:
Yes the domination of the prime minister over cabinet has developed since Thatcher with the exception of Major whose party was torn apart so it would appear to be a trend in British politics
