in Mexico.
i tried for 7 years to include Environmental education into the school system and the reply was always the same it is not included in the cariculum

global warming contradicts the churches prophecies,and therefore is not recognized by the educational systems

Religion is pre-ocupied about peoples condition for going to Heaven ,there concerns are strickly spiritual ,

Earthly concerns(meaning concerns for the Earth) are not on the Agenda

same thing to get the church to co-operate on polution issues or peoples contaminating behaviours is impossible ,the priests refused to even come to Environmental meetings

their job is to prepare people for death and to get the people to accept death ,the church has a lot of power in American government ,this i find a bit worying,to say the least .to help people to prolong an earthly existence in happy ,or even blissful circumstances ,is directly contrary to their direction

environmental wareness and basic correct environmenty friendly behaviour as regards clasification of rubbish .compost heaps not contamnating water etc should be started of in kiddy school,and in Europe it is in many places .
and continued and increase in intesity and complexity as the education advances up to university level

but as long as the church has control in the Americas or at least the religious people are in charge (same thing)it will never happen.

just look at the anwers here in Answers .most people dont think the Environment matters in the first place

,and almost everybody ,(apart from a handfull of people)believes that global warming is a political plot , an outright lie or is totaly natural and has nothing to do with humanity and humanity can do nothing to make a difference

so with the majority of the American public contra .how can you expect conservation to have a priority

but dont you worry you people are gonna pay for your mistakes

Try to going to a school that has a good conservation or wildlife management program. Then major in what ever area interest you the most or would have a higher demand in your area. Also you should consider getting a master degree because government jobs are really competitive and that would put you one step above everyone else. Also if you have time volunteering at a local park will give you experience put it will most likely be unpaid. It is all about how much experience you have. Look an usajobs and find a position that interest you the most then look at the qualification and use that as a guide. Good Luck.

Pay really vaires depending who you work for. I work for a non-profit mostly studying and working with endangered species (mainly birds). I get paid pretty decently. I used to travel extensively, but now I have settled down to a full time permanent position so I travel less than when I first got started in this business. I still travel quite a bit locally. Yes, I get to be in contact with/handle birds, bats, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals. I come in contact with larger mammals such as coyotes, bobcats, bears, wild pigs, etc. while out working. Have yet to see a mountain lion though, although I work were they can be present. I have worked seasonally for the Wildlife Conservation Society in the past..studied birds up in the Alaskan arctic for them. They seemed like a good organization to work for. You can probably work seasonally for them pretty easily, but permanent positions are sometimes hard to come by without lots of hands on experience. I suggest volunteering, doing internships, and seasonal work to get your skills up.

That's where the term "conservative" came from. Republicans specialize in wildlife refuges, national parks and other land preservation. Pres Bush expanded the public land preservation to include the oceans.
It was a Republican (Teddy R) who started the national park system.
