Register as an independent, and vote with your head, and not your heart.

Study the issues that mean the most to you, then pick a candidate who closest represents your views.

After a cycle or two, you'll be able to see what party you sided with most, and change your registration to that party.

However, there is nothing wrong with being an independent and voting on the issue, and not the party line.

You NEVER have to be on one side of all the issues. You can have a mixed view on issues, and not considered liberal or Conservative. It is also worth knowing that people tend to change their view on issues as they age. So registering with one party now, may not be for you. You may find out that as you get older, your affiliation with the party you are a member of, is no longer reflecting your view on issues.

See, I'm a Republican, and I didn't try to sway your party affiliation. I give honest advice to young voters. Beware of those who don't.

Ron Paul is also a Republican, but I couldn't disagree more with his stand on issues.

Joe Lieberman is a Democrat, and he and I share some of the same views.

It's all about what you believe is right.
