(D) Chris Dodd; Chair--Senate Banking Committee
(D) Chuck Schumer; Heads Joint Economic Committee

Dallas radio news clip just reported that Clinton nor Obama can obtain enough delegates? We Answered:
I think that, unless a deal is made between the two (to be President and VP), Florida and Michigan will have to be permitted to redo their primaries in order to put someone over the top. The primaries that these states already had (in violation of DNC rules) can't count, because that would be unfair to Obama who didn't campaign in either. Still, both states are fairly pro-Hillary.P.S. I think those numbers are wrong. By my calculation, if the remaining delegates and unpledged super-delegates split exactly down the middle, Obama would get the 2025 necessary delegates by a hair. See my question for details of the current numbers:

Do You Think President Kennedy Could Have Been Re-Elected in 1964?We Answered:
I assign no value to these answers...i have no dog in this hunt...i neither agree nor disagree with the validity of the conclusions people made then...but these are the conclusions they made as I remember them...the last predictions are based upon my "read" of those times...Elana is correct...he had good PR...like with Reagen, people have selective memory ...the Cuban Blockade made up for the Bay of Pigs...he looked strong having "backed down" Kruschev and he was increasing troops in Viet Nam...at the time, the world saw Kruschev as the "UN shoe pounder"...any "flop" at Vienna was attributed to Kruschev in the west...in regards to the Wall, his reputation world wide was more associated with the "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" speech...very few blamed him for the wall...Bobby Kennedy was just getting started on civil rights, but he was becoming increasing devoted to the issue...and black america and the south knew it...and to the public, Bobby was Jack...he didn't need the south, just the border states (how many depends on the opponent)...and civil rights awareness was eroding what relevance the south had in decision making and was causing some to disassociate themselves with what was perceived as the repugnant nature of segregation through the images they saw on TV...wouldn't have needed "glow" if Goldwater ran...Barry's nuclear views were too far out of the mainstream...Barry got hammered by Johnson for that reason as much as any...Nixon had looked bad on TV during the 1960 debates would have been a non-starter without the help of being the incumbent VP...Rocky would have been a better candidate...could have made New York a contest...could have argued civil rights from the middle...but remember...Daley owned Chicago, New York was liberal, Calif was slewing to the left...and what worked in West Virginia in the primary in 1960 could still work in 1964...and his wife's popularity was not to be underestimated...and the economy was stable and inching up as a result of military spending ramp up (nuclear subs, phantom jets, hardware for troops engaging in Nam, etc)
Goldwater - no contest...
Nixon - would not have run or won, but much, much closer than Goldwater...
Rockefeller - would have been a horse race...
all things being equal, i would say he stood a good chance...as i see it...

What will the Republicans do when whites are no longer a majority in America? We Answered:
Many are giving thanks that they do NOT have teachers like you. Apparently you teach racism and intolerance. Sad commentary on the teaching professionADD: BTW: More and more African-Americans are becoming conservatives, they are fed up with being taken for granted and having lip service paid to them by the liberals in our government and are hard working and, like any rational person, want to have discretion over their own lives.
