I wouldn't be suprised if a lot of funding was from overseas sources. Who had that much money in this contry to contribute, especially if Obama is planing to tax the wealthy more?

I heard a report that the Obama camp did not install auditing software to confirm where the Internet contributions were coming from, and that the audit of the contributions was not to be done until after the elections.

The Parties get funded by lobbyists. In exchange, they have to cater to their agenda (Military, Oil, Church, to name some).
Every industry has lobbyist reps in Washington. The people do not have a lobby, that's why the Government is not for the people, but a puppet for CEO's of the USA industries.

3 things, first he still has a huge war chest from past elections (I have heard 6 Mil, 12 Mil and 18 Mil, which is true I don't know). Second, There are many anti-Tea Party donors out there both locally and nationally who will not hesitate to donate just to oppose the far right wing. Third, many Republicans and former Republicans will donate now that refused to donate to a Republican.
