Government spending is reckless, excessive and essentially out of control

If Government spending is not cut back to sustainable levels, The United States of America will go bankrupt for all practical purposes.

If The United States of America effectively goes bankrupt, the pain will be severe.

The decisons that will be made will be draconian and extremely unpleasant.

Republicans want to make that decision Between themselves, family and their Doctor. Usually having a Directive to Physicians as to how they want their life to expire.
Democrats want to talk to you to make sure you have a Directive just in case something happens and that is what they will counsel you about rather than it being a family issue.

I live in Michigan, and you are absolutely correct. Our liberal governor has destroyed our state, and when we rose up against her most recent tax hikes and defeated them, she was furious and shut down the state in retaliation and accused of us being confused and not understanding the issues. When we voted against giving same sex couples the same rights as married couples, she vetoed it. When we voted against partial birth abortion, she vetoed that too. She passed a law allowing men to dress as women in the workplace, and she made it illegal for employers to complain about it. She has promised to make it legal for men to use women's public restrooms if it suits their sexual proclivities. This woman is a disaster. She has not accomplished anything in the way of creating jobs and keeping and bringing businesses to Michigan. Why? Because she refuses to repeal our Small Business Tax, which makes it nearly impossible to run a successful business here. She did bring in one energy company, but it is a Muslim company and they brought their own Islamic people here to work in the facility. She raised our property taxes even though some home values here have fallen 40 percent. 40 percent. Businesses leave our state without even telling her about it because no one likes her. She let Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick destroy the city economically, despite pleas from the citizens, because she is friends with Kwame's mother. A couple weeks ago while on her way to a meeting she tripped on the steps and fell on her face. Onlookers stood there and laughed at her. Obama's popularity and approval ratings are going to fall on their face too, and lots and lots of people are going to stand there and laugh.

Oddly enough, war is often a net positive for the economy.

What Happened

1) Mortgages failing caused investor uncertainty regarding credit.
2) This restricted credit markets which in turn caused losses for banks and investor
uncertainty regarding the banks.
3) This caused banks to become more restrictive on granting credit which will hinder economic growth.

What's Going On

* Rising unemployment for December and increasing energy prices will decrease consumer spending.
* On the upside, U.S. "exports will likely continue to grow at a healthy pace in coming quarters, providing some impetus to the domestic economy." [likely due to the falling dollar]
* There has been some inflation due to the oil price but its expected to level out.

if you give tax credits like republicans do you give more money to people with more money they can spend more and tax credits help family's out that are struggling so republicans have it right but have lost there way historically republicans where socially liberal and democrats where conservative. they need to find there way.
