Liberal democracies are egalitarian ideological quagmires that are to be distinguished from straight democratic societies. Competing self interests are what we are about here. The marketing strategy is to convince the most people that my personal interest is the "Nation's" best interest. This leads to transient exploitation of the public funds for self interests.

So in a liberal democracy you will just have to wait your turn to have your interests served as we have not true sense of national identity.

Sounds about right to me! Might be a good investment in Chinese Steel (under $11 a share) that produces chain quality steel.
People asked for change, they got it! Now let them live with it!
Let them explain to their grandchildren how they were allowed the freedom to drag this country into a third-world nation; let them wonder if their grandchildren will report them as "dissidents" to a foreign employer; why they may come home to find a house, empty of family, after a sixth 18 hour shift in a row, only to hear "we're investigating it".
Let them, if they dare, tell stories to their grandchildren of a time when people could travel amongst the various States without government intervention; when they could speak as they wished without fear, and, most importantly, they could achieve for themselves.
By the way, I'm a disillutioned second-generation, registered Democrat.
