Democratic Primary 2010
Carolyn Said:
Democrats, would you support a Democratic Primary Challenge for President Obama? We Answered:
It is a free country. Anyone can run for the party nominee. Whether the challenger is successful is a real test of the electability of the incumbent. History shows us that whenever an incumbent President is strongly challenged from within his own Party, he is in trouble in the general election, and he will likely lose. For example, Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter were challenged strongly by Ronald Reagan and Ted Kennedy respectively, and they both lost after getting their Party's nominations. I don't see any strong challengers to Obama since Hilary is not going to run in 2012 and be the goat if Obama loses.
