The differences aren't very different

Republicans use tax cuts to shift the aggregate demand curve
Democrats use government spending to do the same.

Republicans focus primarily on foreign affairs
Democrats focus primarily on domestic affairs

It depends on your feelings toward moral issues which side you choose. Generally, Democrats are expanionist (spend money to stimulate the economy) and Republicans are Conservatives (cut taxs to stimulate the economy).

Regan was bad with money
Bush wasn't as bad but not much better
Clinton had a rough start but got better as he went along
Bush Jr. seemed okay handling a recession and terror attack but this war he has started has killed any hopes of being a great economic leader.

I think it just depends on the person.

Seriously , the main difference is Democrats believe that more government is the solution and Republicans believe private industry is the solution .
