Democrats And Republicans

Glen Said:

How often do Democrats & Republicans exchange ideologies, like being pro working-class is now the Republicans?

We Answered:

The original Republican party were the <gasp!> liberals of their day. They wanted to abolish slavery, which the Democrats were against since most Southerners were Democrats back in the day.

The current turn around started with Nixon, who by today's Republican standards might also be considered <gasp again!> a liberal. It was St. Ronald of Reagan who ushered in today's standards of who is a Republican. The Democrats went off the left deep end with McGovern but have since recovered and opened their tent to all while the Republicans have only been closing theirs.

Sergio Said:

When will people realize that the Democrats & Republicans are the same all around?

We Answered:

This is why I am supporting Dennis Kucinich. He is different. Please check him out if you haven't already. Look at his track record.

Alvin Said:

Who is the most loyal voting block for Democrats and who is the most loyal voting block for Republicans?

We Answered:

Basically, democrats concentrate on the victims of the country. They divide the country into the have's and have nots, blacks against whites, poor against the rich, young against old, religious against non-religious, and the list goes on and on. They demand a level playing field where everyone can be at an equal level of dependency on the federal government. They claim to be for the poor person and the downtrodden while making them dependent on the federal government by giving them just enough money to eek out a meager living. This seals their voter block.

Republicans, sadly, are not a whole lot better right now. They have, to a large degree, given in to the liberal agenda and feel they cannot win elections by being conservative. Conservative republicans, on the other hand, try to treat every person equally. Affirmative action is not necessary for a hard working minority person. Welfare is not necessary for a huge majority of freeloaders sucking it dry today. Conservatives agree that there are always people who simply cannot take care of themselves...there are those that do not have family who will take care of them...there are those that are truly down and out, poor, mentally retarded, whatever...just really and truly needy. We should never pass them by.

Republicans do not have nearly as large of a voting block as democrat. Conservatives have a huge voting block when they run on true conservatism...family values, religious/moral values, self-responsibility, hard work, smaller/less intrusive government, and freedom.

I don't think people are brainwashed to be democrat or republican. A huge majority of them simply keep voting the way their parents voted. Very few citizens really take a great interest in the true faces of dems and republicans. Political rhetoric is actually believed and voted for...sheesh...how naive is that?

Sally Said:

How many Democrats/Republicans are there in the Senate/House of Reps/ and Governors?

We Answered:

You can go to the house or Senate web site for current member information. News sites like ABC should have the new membership info of all seats that have been decided.

Wallace Said:

Democrats/Republicans?

We Answered:

It is extremely unconstitutional. It's a violation of freedom of speech.

Craig Said:

Are democrats/republicans for or against genetically modified organisms?

We Answered:

That's one of those issues that can be supported or criticized on both sides.

The Republican platform generally believes that the best way to create jobs is to make sure businesses have money so they can pay wages. So Republicans are generally for this, because genetically modified meat grows faster, is cheaper, and makes more large-scale meat production. This is good for business. However, there is also a good chance this would lead to more regulation (something Republicans are against) to make sure the geneticists and companies are not cutting corners and providing "shoddy" and possibly even dangerous or fatal meat products.

The Democrat platform generally believes that protecting the Middle and Lower classes and making sure they have the confidence to buy products (thus creating demand and profit for businesses, encouraging them to hire more workers) is how jobs are created. Because of the possible dangers of genetically modified meat, that may be a reason for Democrats to be against it.

However, again it does make the meat cheaper, and that may be enough to convince some Democrats to back it so that the Middle and Lower classes can better afford it at the grocery store.
