Democrats Versus Republicans

Charlie Said:

Those who follow the elections - anybody actually LOOK at the numbers of people voting?

We Answered:

McCain is better than George Bush on the human rights issues. George Bush is more like Mike Huckabee in that case, trying to conform the laws of the US to fit the "Christian ideal". But militaristically, McCain is just as obsessed with "terrorism" as the Bush.

But if I had to choose between the Republican candidates, I would probably vote McCain, just so I don't have to be afraid of being beaten to death and tied to a fence.

Lauren Said:

After the Republicans and the Democrats die out, will it be the Libertarians versus the Anarchists?

We Answered:

LOL!! We'd get along just dandy I think...one of my best yahoo friends is a Libertarian...actually...a few of my best Yahoo friends are Libertarians.

We read the same books often, have a similar distrust of govt regulation, despise the same party affiliated inanities that take up so much of the so-called "national Debate"...and recognize fully that both Dem and Rep are in it fr the corporates and will run over the little guy as soon as it becomes convenient for their corporate masters..or profitable for them..or both.

Bring it on!! We'd shake 'em up!!

Julia Said:

Why can't Republicans and Democrats work together to find the best solution to problems in the USA?

We Answered:

For a politician, solving a problem is akin to a pharmaceutical company curing a disease.

Once you accomplish it, you are out of a job.

Both parties have vested interests in keeping the populace as dependent upon it as possible. They all give lip service to 'smaller government'; but have they ever DONE it? No. Like the mythical Hydra, if you cut off one head, it grows two more.

They are able to give favors to their donors by offering them contracts to 'solve' these problems... at our expense.

You are 100% right... we are all Americans... and we are all suffering due to the incompetence, graft and GREED of BOTH major parties.

It's time we woke up. It's time we filleted the beast.

2010 is coming. Vote to kill. Crosshairs trained tightly on the incumbents. (Politically speaking, of course! No violence against any person is either advocated nor encouraged by these statements!)

Maurice Said:

Why do people not see Democrats and Republicans as two sides of the same coin?

We Answered:

They are indeed we are living in the Republic of the fascist few, who control all of Representative govt. There is nothing legitimate about the election process at all,if so you would be able to trace your ballot cast like you do your bank account!

This is why i recommend for real change legally ending rep govt and replace it with well manged fire at will employee's at every level college degree NOT required for management rather mature community vested legal citizens who have a proven track record with real integrity. Also the legal citizen majority should reign absolute rule & control over Money/business/govt to insure equal share of the pie for the legal citizens.

They in D.C. are often referred to as Hollywood east and The money party! Both parties have a long history of hidden agenda's mean while evading/lying/stalling/misleading the legal citizen majority about their cozy relationship with business whom are taking advantage/fleecing the public at large etc.

My fellow citizens are consistantly missing the boat on what to do in order to gain control for their own best interest, plus guarantee financial security for themselves first!

Rene Said:

What are the differences between republicans and democrats?

We Answered:

In theory, Republicans believe in strong state governments. States should have the right to decide many issues for themselves. Democrats believe in strong federal government deciding for all of the country.

The rest of the things you hear about are the sideshow political rhetoric that goes around. Some is true. Others are not.

Both parties have problems with abortion issues. The Republicans are against it (for the most part), Democrats are for it. Republicans are opposed to same sex marriages, Democrats are for them. Republicans believe by supporting business you create jobs which help others. Democrats believe in helping the individual so he or she may find their own way.

In the end, I think both parties are realizing they cannot hard line on issues. Homeland Security, immigration, the exporting of American jobs, trade deficit are difficult issues that need to be dealt with quickly. Taking a "this is my stance like it or leave it" stance does not sit well with voters. I think, at least for the next couple of years, you will see the parties look more like each other than ever before.

We are definitely a nation divided. Many elections were very close. This shows how much we need to stop looking at our differences and start working toward solutions.

Discuss It!
